  • Start by placing your clear jar or glass on a tray to catch spills.
  • Use a funnel to pour in 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda.

Adding Color

  • Add several drops of different food coloring to the baking soda.
  • You can separate colors into layers for a rainbow effect or swirl them together.

Mixing

  • If using, sprinkle in some glitter for added sparkle.
  • Use a plastic spoon to gently mix the colors and baking soda.

Creating the Eruption

  • Slowly pour in vinegar (about half a cup) into the jar.
