Instructions
Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, water, and corn syrup.
- Place over medium heat and stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Use a cooking thermometer to monitor the temperature; heat should reach around 250°F (hard crack stage).
Coloring
- Once the mixture reaches the desired temperature, remove it from heat.
- In separate mixing bowls, divide the sugar mixture into portions based on how many colors you want.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion, stirring well to create vibrant colors.
Flavoring
- For a delicious twist, add flavor extracts to each colored mixture. Mix well.
Molding
- Carefully pour the colored mixtures into candy molds or silicone molds, ensuring even distribution.
- Let the molds sit at room temperature for about 1-2 hours or until hardened.
Enjoying
- Gently remove the sugar creations from the molds.
