Creating the Suncatcher

  • Use scissors to cut assorted colored tissue paper into small squares or fun shapes (about 1 inch).
  • Cut a piece of contact paper to your desired size (e.g., a rectangle or circle) and peel the backing to reveal the sticky side.
  • Start placing your tissue paper pieces on the sticky surface, creating a rainbow pattern and overlapping colors for a blended effect.
  • Once satisfied with your arrangement, cut another piece of contact paper and place it sticky side down over the tissue paper, smoothing out any bubbles.
  • Cut around the edges to create a variety of shapes and attach the string or ribbon for hanging.

Notes

Consider experimenting with seasonal colors and adding glitter for sparkle. Use templates for different designs and change window placements.
