Ingredients
  

Craft Materials

  • 1 each empty plastic bottle (small soda or water bottle)
  • 1 set black and yellow paint or markers
  • 1 each scissors For cutting pipe cleaners
  • 2 each googly eyes For decoration
  • 1 each hot glue gun or craft glue Used for attaching parts
  • 2 each pipe cleaners (black or any color for antennas)
  • 2 each cotton balls (for added texture, optional) For extra fluffiness
  • 1 each newspaper or a plastic sheet To protect your workspace

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the empty plastic bottle and remove the label.
  • Allow it to dry completely to ensure the paint adheres well.

Painting

  • Using black paint, cover the bottom half of the bottle.
  • After it dries, use yellow paint to create stripes around the top half for the bumblebee's body.
  • Feel the smoothness of the paint as you create a vibrant pattern.

Assembly

  • Glue two googly eyes onto the front of the bottle.
  • Cut two equal lengths of pipe cleaner.
  • Twist them together to create a forked shape and secure them to the top of the bottle with hot glue.
  • Optionally, add cotton balls around the body for extra fluffiness or texture.
  • Allow the glue to dry before displaying your bumblebee.

Notes

Swap colors for a unique twist, add glitter for sparkle, or use felt for a softer look. Try making various sizes and colors for a bumblebee colony!
