  • 1 quantity Old CDs or DVDs Use any discarded CDs or DVDs that you have.
  • 1 bottle Acetone For cleaning the CDs.
  • 1 pair Scissors To cut the CDs into shapes.
  • 1 bottle Craft adhesive or hot glue gun For securing CD pieces.
  • 1 frame Frames (wood or plastic) For holding the mosaic.
  • 1 length String or wire For hanging the suncatcher.
  • optional quantity Paints or markers For customization of the frame.

Instructions
 

Preparing the CDs

  • Clean your CDs with acetone to remove any labels or residue.
  • Use scissors to carefully cut the CDs into small pieces, creating varied shapes for your mosaic.

Designing the Suncatcher

  • Take your frame and decide on a pattern.
  • Lay the CD pieces onto the frame, experimenting with colors and arrangements until satisfied.

Gluing the Pieces

  • Apply craft adhesive or use a hot glue gun to secure each piece onto the frame.
  • Press each piece firmly, allowing them to set properly.

Adding the Hanger

  • Once everything is dry, attach string or wire to the top of your suncatcher for hanging.
  • Choose a spot that catches sunlight, like a window or garden.

Notes

Customize your suncatcher by painting the frame to match your décor. You can also use other materials like broken glass or beads if CDs are not available.
