Ingredients

Materials for Pen Stand

  • 10-15 pieces clean, dry ice cream sticks
  • 1 unit strong adhesive or glue gun For assembling the stand.
  • optional unit paint or markers For decoration.
  • optional unit decorative items (stickers, washi tape, beads, etc.) For embellishment.
  • 1 unit paintbrush If using paint.
  • optional unit scissors For cutting sticks if needed.

Instructions

Design Your Stand

  • Lay out the ice cream sticks in a rectangular shape to envision how your pen stand will look.
  • Consider how tall you want your stand to be and adjust the number of sticks accordingly.

Prepare Adhesive

  • If using a glue gun, plug it in to heat up.
  • For wet glue, have it ready for application.

Assemble the Base

  • Start by gluing two sticks parallel to each other as the base.
  • Add two more sticks on the sides, creating a rectangular frame.
  • Hold briefly until the glue sets.

Build Up the Walls

  • Continue stacking ice cream sticks on top of the base for height.
  • Secure each stick with glue, pressing firmly for a few seconds.
  • Keep layering until you reach your desired height, usually around 3-5 layers.

Let It Dry

  • Allow your pen stand to dry completely before handling. This could take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the adhesive used.

Decorate

  • Once dry, personalize it with paint, markers, or other decorative items.
  • Apply your designs—don’t shy away from creativity!

Notes

Consider making small matching holders for various desk items or hosting a group crafting session to create different designs. Use old magazines or wrapping paper for an eco-friendly decorative layer.
