  • 2 cups boiling water Ensure water is boiling before mixing.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Can substitute with other oils if desired.

Add-ins

  • 1-2 cups fresh rose petals Make sure they are clean and chopped.

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials in a clean workspace.
  • If using fresh rose petals, ensure they are washed and chopped into smaller pieces.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and cream of tartar.
  • Mix these ingredients thoroughly until well-combined.

Add Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate container, mix vegetable oil into boiling water.
  • If adding food coloring or essential oils, include them at this stage.

Combine and Knead

  • Slowly pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring continuously.
  • When the mixture becomes doughy, knead it with your hands for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Incorporate Rose Petals

  • Fold in the chopped rose petals, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Store Properly

  • Once cooled, store your play dough in an airtight container.
  • It can last for several weeks if stored correctly.

Notes

Experiment with different food colorings and scents. Consider using fine sand or glitter for added texture.
