Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water Use warm tap water for better salt dissolution.
  • 1 cup salt (table salt or Epsom salt) Choose between table salt or Epsom salt for the crystallization.

Crafting Materials

  • 1 piece Pipe cleaner (green for the tree, optional colors for ornaments) Select pipe cleaners in various colors for personalization.
  • 1 piece Dish or shallow bowl For holding the salt solution.
  • 1 piece String or ribbon For hanging the finished tree.
  • 1 piece Fork or stirring stick For mixing the salt solution.
  • optional as needed food coloring To create colorful crystals.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In your bowl, mix 1 cup of warm water with 1 cup of salt.
  • Stir the mixture with a fork or stirring stick until the salt completely dissolves.

Shaping the Tree

  • Take the pipe cleaner and bend it into a Christmas tree shape.
  • Create a triangle-like structure, with a trunk at the bottom.

Crystallization

  • Place your shaped pipe cleaner tree upright in the salt solution.
  • Ensure that it is partially submerged but the top remains above the liquid.
  • Leave the tree in the solution for 24-48 hours, observing the crystallization process.

Drying the Tree

  • After the desired crystallization, carefully remove the tree from the solution.
  • Pat gently with a paper towel to remove excess liquid.
  • Allow it to dry completely, preferably in a warm, dry place.

Decoration (Optional)

  • If desired, add food coloring before submerging for colorful crystals.
  • Attach string or ribbon for hanging or display your tree on a table.

Notes

Experiment with different food colors and sizes for unique tree designs. Store in a dry place away from moisture.
