  • 1 piece Tray To catch excess salt and water.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a heatproof bowl, mix 1 cup of salt with 1 cup of hot water. Stir thoroughly until the salt fully dissolves.
  • Lay down newspaper or a plastic sheet to protect your working surface. Place your watercolor paper on the tray for easy management.

Adding Color

  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the salt solution. Stir to mix the colors. Experiment with different combinations for unique shades!

Painting

  • Use a paintbrush to apply the salt solution to the watercolor paper. Create designs or abstract patterns, letting the brush glide to create different textures.

Crystal Growth

  • Allow the painted paper to dry flat in a well-ventilated area. Observe as beautiful salt crystals begin to form on the surface after a few hours.

Final Touches

  • Once fully dried, gently brush off any excess salt if desired. Your unique salt crystal painting is now complete!
