Ingredients
For the Salt Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water

Instructions
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of salt.
- Gradually add 1 cup of water, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a clean surface for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth.
Shaping the Frame
- Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Roll the dough out to about half an inch thick using a rolling pin.
- Use a cookie cutter or knife to cut out a large rectangle for the frame.
- Cut out the center for the photo opening.
Decorating the Frame
- Let your kids mold and shape the leftover dough to create decorations.
- Attach these decorations to the frame before baking.
Baking
- Place the shaped frame on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 1–2 hours or until the dough hardens completely.
Finishing Touches
- Once cool, paint the frame with acrylic paint.
- After the paint dries, apply a coat of Mod Podge or clear sealant to protect it.
Final Assembly
- Insert a cherished photo into the frame.
- Display it proudly or wrap it up as a gift!
Notes
