Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of salt.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of water while stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for a few minutes until it is smooth and pliable.

Rolling and Cutting

  • Lightly flour your work surface to prevent sticking.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Use cookie cutters to cut out your desired shapes from the dough.
  • Create holes for hanging by using a straw or a skewer.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
  • Place the cut-out shapes onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 1-2 hours, turning halfway, until the ornaments are hard and dry.

Cooling and Decorating

  • Allow the ornaments to cool completely.
  • Use acrylic paint, markers, and any other decorative items to personalize your ornaments.
  • Once decorated, seal with varnish for lasting durability.
