  • 1 set string or ribbon for hanging (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  • Gradually add water while stirring until the mixture comes together to form a dough.
  • Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and pliable.

Roll Out the Dough

  • Dust a clean surface with flour to prevent sticking.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness using a rolling pin.

Cut Out Ornaments

  • Use cookie cutters or molds to cut shapes from the dough.
  • Feel free to get creative with shapes from holiday themes to personal designs!

Create Holes

  • Make a small hole at the top of each ornament using a straw or toothpick for hanging.

Bake the Ornaments

  • Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
  • Place the ornaments on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 2 to 3 hours or until completely hard.

Cool Down

  • Allow the ornaments to cool fully before decorating.

Decorate

  • Use acrylic paint to add color and design.
  • Let the paint dry completely before proceeding with stringing.

Notes

Customize with food coloring, add textures with stamps or leaves, or use essential oils for fragrance. Ornaments can be used as gift tags or for decorations.
