Instructions
Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Gradually add water while stirring until the mixture comes together to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and pliable.
Roll Out the Dough
- Dust a clean surface with flour to prevent sticking.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness using a rolling pin.
Cut Out Ornaments
- Use cookie cutters or molds to cut shapes from the dough.
- Feel free to get creative with shapes from holiday themes to personal designs!
Create Holes
- Make a small hole at the top of each ornament using a straw or toothpick for hanging.
Bake the Ornaments
- Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Place the ornaments on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 2 to 3 hours or until completely hard.
Cool Down
- Allow the ornaments to cool fully before decorating.
Decorate
- Use acrylic paint to add color and design.
- Let the paint dry completely before proceeding with stringing.
Notes
