Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 cup warm water Add food coloring for colored dough, if desired.

  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 star-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 cup of salt.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of warm water to the mixture and stir until the ingredients begin to clump together.
  • Knead the mixture with your hands until smooth and pliable.

Shaping

  • Sprinkle a little flour on a clean, flat surface to prevent sticking.
  • Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Press a star-shaped cookie cutter into the dough to create star shapes.
  • Carefully lift the stars off the surface and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  • Bake the stars for 2-3 hours, or until they are completely hardened.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Decorating

  • Once cooled, decorate the stars using paint, glitter, or other embellishments.
  • For hanging, punch a hole at the top and thread through string or ribbon before decorating.

Notes

Use stamps or textured surfaces to imprint designs on your stars. Seal decorated stars with a clear acrylic spray for preservation.
