Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 piece Thick watercolor paper or cardstock This will serve as the base for your painting.
  • 1 bottle White school glue Used to create the firework shapes.
  • 1 cup Table salt Sprinkled over the glue to create texture.
  • 1 set Liquid watercolors or food coloring Provides the colors for the painting.
  • 1 piece Paintbrush For applying the colors.
  • 1 container Small cup or container for water Used for rinsing the brush.
  • 1 piece Paper towels For cleanup.
  • 1 piece Tray or shallow dish To control spills while working.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface to work on and cover it with newspaper or a plastic sheet for easy cleanup.

Create Fireworks Design

  • Draw various firework shapes on the watercolor paper with white school glue. Be creative with shapes and sizes.
  • Ensure that the glue lines are thick enough to hold salt.

Add Salt

  • While the glue is still wet, generously sprinkle salt over the entire glued area.
  • Gently shake off any excess salt onto a tray or towel.

Apply Watercolors

  • Using a paintbrush, dip it into liquid watercolor or diluted food coloring.
  • Touch the brush to the salt-covered glue areas and watch as the color spreads and mixes, creating a vibrant effect.
  • Experiment with different colors for a layered, colorful design.

Let It Dry

  • Allow the artwork to dry completely. This may take a few hours.
  • Once dry, you can display your beautiful creation.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and shades, add glitter for extra sparkle, try different paper types, and create themed pieces for special occasions.
