Ingredients

  • 1 cup Epsom salt Recommended for its fine texture
  • 1 cup baking soda Adds texture and helps formation
  • 1 cup water For mixing

For Scent and Color

  • 2 teaspoons essential oil Your choice for fragrance
  • Food coloring Optional for color

Tools

  • Heart-shaped silicone molds For shaping
  • Mixing bowl For combining ingredients
  • Spoon for stirring For mixing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of Epsom salt and 1 cup of baking soda.
  • Slowly add 1 cup of water while stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Look for a thick but pourable consistency.

Add Fragrance and Color

  • Add 2 teaspoons of your chosen essential oil for fragrance.
  • If you’d like to add color, include a few drops of food coloring and mix thoroughly until you reach the desired hue.

Fill the Molds

  • Pour the mixture into your heart-shaped silicone molds.
  • Gently tap the molds to release any air bubbles.

Set and Dry

  • Let the molds sit for 24 hours at room temperature or until they feel dry to the touch.

Remove and Enjoy

  • After drying, carefully remove the scented crystal hearts from the molds.
  • Place them around your home or gift them to loved ones!

Notes

Scent Customization: Use different essential oils like lavender for relaxation or citrus for an uplifting vibe. Experiment with other silicone molds to create a variety of shapes. Try using natural colorants like beet juice or turmeric for more eco-friendly options.
