  • 1 can Shaving cream (non-gel) Foam shaving cream works best
  • 1 container Clear glass or plastic container (like a jar or aquarium) Ensure it is clear to observe the effects
  • water as needed Water At room temperature for best results
  • a few drops bottle Food coloring (optional) Use to create colorful effects
  • 1 each Stirring stick or pipette (optional) For adding food coloring

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour water into your clear container, leaving some space at the top.
  • Shake the can of shaving cream, then dispense a generous dollop on top of the water.

Color Your Experiment (Optional)

  • Use a pipette or dropper to add drops of food coloring onto the shaving cream.

Observing the Results

  • Observe how the food coloring moves downward, creating colorful trails and patterns.

Notes

For best effect, conduct this experiment without distractions. Try using scented shaving cream for an aromatic experience, and experiment with colors and liquids.
