Sky Jello with Fluffy Clouds
A whimsical dessert that combines colorful layers of jello with fluffy whipped cream clouds, perfect for parties and creative fun with kids.
Ingredients
Jello Layers
- 3 packs Assorted jello flavors (blue, white, etc.) Choose your favorite flavors.
- 2 cups Boiling water Needed for dissolving jello.
- 2 cups Cold water Add as instructed on the jello package.
Fluffy Clouds
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream For making the cloud topping.
- 1 cup Powdered sugar To sweeten the whipped cream.
Materials
- 1 each Mixing bowl For mixing the jello and cream.
- 1 each Whisk or electric mixer To whip the cream.
- 6 each Clear cups or glasses For serving the layered jello.
Instructions
Prepare the Jello
- Start by boiling the water for your first layer of jello.
- In a mixing bowl, combine your chosen jello powder with boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Once dissolved, add cold water as instructed on the package, stirring well.
Layer the Jello
- Gently pour the jello mixture into clear cups or glasses until they are filled about one-third full.
- Place the cups in the refrigerator and allow to set for about 2-4 hours, or until firm.
Make the Fluffy Clouds
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Whip with an electric mixer until fluffy peaks form.
- Once the first jello layer is set, carefully spoon or pipe the whipped cream onto the jello to create cloud-like shapes.
Repeat
- Repeat the jello preparation and layering process for additional colors/flavors, allowing each layer to set.
- Top the last layer with a generous helping of fluffy cream clouds.
Notes
Use different colors or flavored jello for a colorful presentation. You can add mini marshmallows or edible glitter as toppings. Substitute regular cream with coconut cream for a lighter treat.
