Mixing the Ingredients

  • Gradually add 1/2 cup of oil, mixing as you go with a spoon or spatula.
  • Use your hands to knead the mixture for a few minutes until it feels both dry and wet.

Customizing Your Quicksand

  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring or essential oils and knead until incorporated.
  • Test the texture; it should ooze when poured but feel solid when squeezed.
  • Adjust with additional cornstarch or oil if needed for desired consistency.
