  • Essential oils (optional) Use scents like lavender or eucalyptus.

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials and find a flat, spacious area to work.
  • In a mixing bowl, start by combining 1 cup of liquid soap with 1 cup of water. Stir gently to avoid creating too many bubbles.
  • Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to the mixture. Stir well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring and mix until you achieve the desired color.
  • Using an electric mixer or whisk, start whipping the mixture on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  • If desired, add a few drops of essential oils to your foam and mix briefly.
  • Scoop the foam into your storage container. Allow it to sit uncovered for about 10 minutes to set the texture.

Notes

Experiment with different essential oils and colors for unique results. For gift-giving, package the foam in jars with ribbons.
