Instructions

Preparation

Design and Cut

  • Use the pencil to sketch a simple spider shape on the black construction paper, adding details like legs or a web design.
  • Carefully cut along your pencil lines to create the spider shape and set it aside.

Create Suncatcher

  • Cut a piece of clear contact paper to your desired size or lay one plastic sheet flat.
  • Tear or cut the colorful tissue paper into small pieces and start placing them on the contact paper, filling in the area as you go.
  • Position the black spider cutout on top of the colorful tissue paper and press it down gently to adhere.
  • Top with another piece of clear contact paper to seal it, creating a protective layer, and trim any excess edges if necessary.
  • Cut a piece of string or ribbon and attach it to the top of your suncatcher for hanging.
