  • 4 pieces Clean, absorbent sponges Preferably multi-colored
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting sponges
  • 1 piece String or rubber bands For bundling sponges
  • 1 piece Bucket or large bowl For soaking sponges
  • Optional Food coloring For added fun

Preparation

  • Take your clean sponges and cut them into smaller strips (about 1-2 inches wide). Aim for at least 4 strips per sponge.
  • Gather 4-5 sponge strips and stack them on top of each other, ensuring they are aligned neatly.
  • Use a string or rubber band to tightly bind the center of the stacked strips.
  • Fill a bucket or a large bowl with water and dip the sponge bundles into the water, allowing them to absorb as much water as possible.
  • Gather everyone and show off your sponge water bombs, ready for fun!

Notes

Customize sponge water bombs with food coloring or essential oils for scent. Different shapes can add to the fun!
