For the Spooky Spider Lollipops

  • 12 pieces Lollipops (round or swirl) Choose your favorite flavor
  • 24 pieces Black pipe cleaners 2 per spider
  • 24 small Candy eyes Small edible for decoration
  • 1 piece Hot glue gun Parental supervision recommended
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting pipe cleaners
  • optional Black or orange food coloring For extra flair on lollipops

Instructions

Preparation

  • Clear a surface to work on and gather all materials.

Assemble the Spiders

  • Cut the black pipe cleaners into halves to create a total of 4 legs per spider.
  • Bend each piece in half to form a 'V' shape for the legs.
  • Hold your lollipop upside down (the round side should be facing the table).
  • Wrap the pipe cleaner legs around the base of the lollipop stick and secure tightly.
  • Using the hot glue gun, attach two candy eyes to the top of the lollipop where the body would be.
  • Allow the glue to cool so the eyes stay securely in place.
  • Adjust the legs to look like they’re crawling.
  • Optionally, add a bit of black or orange food coloring to the lollipop for an extra spooky effect!

Notes

Swap different colored pipe cleaners for multicolored spiders. Use chocolate pops or cake pops for a unique twist. Consider using small candy corn or chocolate chips for added features like fangs.
