- 1 bottle Mod Podge or clear-drying glue To hold the tissue paper in place.
- 1 brush Paintbrush For applying Mod Podge.
- 1 sheet Black construction paper or cardstock To create a frame around your suncatcher.
- 1 length String or fishing line For hanging the suncatcher.
- Optional Hole punch To create holes for hanging.
Instructions
Preparation
- Find a clean, flat surface to work on.
- Gather all materials.
Design
- Sketch your desired design on paper. Consider geometric shapes or nature themes.
- Use this sketch as a guide for cutting your colored tissue paper.
Cutting
- Cut the colored tissue paper into small squares or shapes.
Base Preparation
- Cut the clear plastic sheet to your desired size, slightly larger than your design.
Assembly
- Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the plastic sheet.
- Place the tissue paper pieces on top of the glue, ensuring to overlap colors for a stained glass effect.
- Brush another layer of Mod Podge over the top to seal the tissue paper.
Framing
- Cut shapes from the black construction paper to frame your suncatcher.
- Glue the frame around your plastic sheet carefully, pressing down to secure.
Hanging
- Use a hole punch to create holes at the top of the suncatcher.
- Attach string or fishing line for hanging.
Drying
- Allow your suncatcher to dry completely before hanging it up.
Notes
