  • 1 sheet Clear contact paper Non-stick side for design sketching
  • as needed oz Transparent food coloring or liquid watercolors To apply vibrant colors

  • 1 each Sponge brush or cotton swabs To apply the colors
  • 1 each Clean work surface To work on the project

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Decide on a design for your window art and sketch it on the non-stick side of the contact paper using a pencil.

Cutting

  • Carefully cut out your design pieces from the contact paper while keeping the backing on.

Color Application

  • Dip your sponge brush or cotton swabs into the food coloring or liquid watercolors and apply directly onto the contact paper, filling in your design and experimenting with blending colors.

Finalization

  • Let the art dry for a few minutes. Once dry, peel the backing off the contact paper to reveal the sticky side.

Installation

  • Carefully place your colorful art on a clean window and smooth out any air bubbles or wrinkles for a polished look.

Notes

Mix colors for unique shades and use stencils for more complex designs. Consider outlining with black paint for added definition.
