  • 1 piece Clear glass jar with a lid Choose a jar size that fits your preference.
  • 1 cup Distilled water Using distilled water helps keep the mixture fresh longer.
  • 1/2 cup Baby oil or vegetable oil Vegetable oil can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Glitter Use gold, silver, or starry colors for the best effect.
  • a few drops Food coloring Choose blue, purple, or any color you prefer.
  • 1 piece Funnel Optional, for easier pouring.
  • optional Small star or moon-shaped confetti Optional for extra sparkle.

Preparation

  • Clean the jar thoroughly to ensure there are no residues.
  • Dry it completely before adding any materials.

Assembly

  • Using a funnel if desired, fill the jar about one-third full with distilled water.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the water until you achieve your desired shade and stir gently.
  • Slowly pour in the baby oil or vegetable oil until the jar is nearly full, leaving a little space at the top.
  • Add a generous amount of glitter to the jar, allowing it to blend with the water and oil.
  • Secure the lid tightly to ensure nothing leaks, optionally glue the lid to the jar for added security.
  • Gently shake the jar to mix the glitter and watch as it swirls and settles.
  • Place it in a calm space or display it as a decorative piece.

Notes

Adjust the amount of glitter and experiment with different jar sizes and colors to create unique sensory jars.
