  • Broken crayons Broken crayons (any colors) Repurpose old, broken crayons
  • 1 Silicone molds Shapes like cars, stars, or animals
  • 1 sheet Baking sheet (optional) For stability when baking
  • 1 Oven Set to 250°F / 120°C
  • 1 sheet Wax paper For cooling

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all the broken crayons and remove any paper wrappers.
  • Sort them by color or mix them up for unique shades.

Melting

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  • Break larger pieces into smaller bits for quicker melting.
  • Place the crayon pieces into the silicone molds. Fill each mold about ¾ full.

Baking

  • Carefully place the filled molds on a baking sheet for stability.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until the crayons are fully melted but not bubbling.

Cooling

  • Once melted, remove the molds from the oven and set them aside to cool completely.
  • After cooling, gently pop the crayons out of the molds.

  • Use your new colorful crayons for all sorts of creative projects—drawing, coloring, and crafting activities!
