  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup salt

Coloring and Supplies

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of water, and 1 cup of salt.
  • Use the whisk to blend the mixture until it’s smooth and free of lumps.

Adding Color

  • Divide the base into separate bowls if you want multiple colors.
  • Add food coloring to each bowl. Start with a few drops and mix until you achieve your desired shades.

Transferring

  • Pour the colored puffy paint into squeeze bottles or Ziploc bags.
  • If using bags, seal them tightly and cut a small corner to create a piping bag.

Creating Art

  • Place parchment paper or canvas on a flat surface.
  • Squeeze the paint onto your surface to create fun designs! Watch as the paint puffs up when it dries.

Drying

  • Allow your artwork to dry for several hours or overnight until it feels firm and puffy to the touch.

Notes

Customize your colors by mixing food colors for unique shades. Add glitter for extra sparkle, and try painting on different surfaces like cardboard, rocks, or T-shirts. Adjust thickness by mixing in more water for a thinner consistency.
