Instructions

Preparation

  • Decide the size of your suncatcher and cut your clear plastic or glass sheet to your desired dimensions.
  • Use a pencil to lightly sketch your design on the surface.

Cutting

  • Cut your colored tissue paper or cellophane into small shapes—these can be squares, circles, or any shape you like.
  • Consider the color combinations that will look good together.

Assembly

  • Begin placing the colored pieces onto your sketched design. Experiment with layering colors for depth.
  • Feel free to overlap the pieces to create new shades and textures.

Adhesive Application

  • Once satisfied with your arrangement, carefully apply adhesive to each piece, ensuring they stick well.
  • Press down lightly to avoid wrinkles and bubbles.

Finishing Touches

  • After the adhesive has dried, trim any excess paper hanging off the edges if necessary.
  • Attach a string or fishing line to the top of your suncatcher for easy hanging.

Display

  • Find a sunny spot by the window and hang your suncatcher where it can catch the light.
  • Observe how it transforms your space with colorful reflections!

Notes

Customize your suncatcher with colors based on seasons or themes. Incorporate beads or glitter for a personal touch. Supervise young children when using scissors and adhesive.
