Preparation

  • Begin by taking several coffee filters stacked together.
  • If you wish to add color, mix food coloring with a bit of water in a shallow bowl. Dip the edges of the filters in the mixture.
  • Once your filters are colored to your satisfaction, lay them flat to dry.
  • After drying, gently crumple the filters into the shapes of flower petals.
  • As you layer multiple filters together, experiment with different arrangements.
  • Once you’ve arranged your flower, use twine or floral wire to secure the petals together.
  • Finally, insert the flowers into the vintage bed springs.

Showcasing Your Flowers

  • Place the springs on a sunlit windowsill where they can catch the gentle light.
  • Consider grouping them with other treasures to create an inviting vignette.

Notes

Store flowers in a cool, dry place to protect them from moisture and dust. Treat them gently and dust occasionally to keep them looking fresh.
