Instructions
Preparation
- In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of borax with 1 cup of warm water. Stir until the borax dissolves completely. This will be your activator solution.
- In another mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue and 1 cup of warm water. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth.
Mixing Colors
- Add your chosen food coloring to the glue mixture and mix well to achieve your desired color outcome.
- Sprinkle in the glow-in-the-dark pigment powder and stir until evenly distributed.
Combining Mixtures
- Gradually pour the borax solution into the glue mixture while stirring continuously until clumps begin to form.
- Once the mixture becomes sticky, knead it with your hands (wear gloves if desired) for about 2-3 minutes, until it becomes pliable and smooth.
Shaping and Drying
- Form the kneaded mixture into a ball shape, adjusting the size as per your preference.
- Place the ball on a flat surface to dry for several hours or overnight. Ensure it is completely dry before playing.
Notes
For color swirls, add different colors in layers while shaping your ball. You can also incorporate essential oils for a scented bounce ball if desired. Experiment with various sizes and colors for customization.
