Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface to conduct the experiment and set out all materials.

Pouring the Milk

  • Pour 1 cup of whole milk into the shallow dish, covering the bottom evenly.

Adding Food Coloring

  • Using different colors of food coloring, drop small amounts onto the surface of the milk, spacing the drops evenly.

Introducing the Soap

  • Dip the toothpick or cotton swab into the liquid dish soap and gently touch the tip to the center of the milk.

Observing the Reaction
