Tie-Dye Bouncy Balls

Ingredients
  

For the Bouncy Ball Mixture

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup white school glue
  • 1 tablespoon Borax
  • as needed drops food coloring or liquid watercolors Choose your favorite colors.

Additional Materials

  • 1 small bowl for mixing Use for mixing the Borax solution.
  • 1 large bowl for water Use for the glue solution.
  • as needed pairs gloves Optional, for messy hands.
  • 1 baking sheet or tray For drying the bouncy balls.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of Borax and stir until fully dissolved.
  • In another bowl, combine ½ cup of white school glue with about ½ cup of water.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors to the glue mixture.

Combine and Knead

  • Slowly pour the glue mixture into the Borax solution and observe the glue clump together.
  • Use your hands (with gloves if desired) to knead the mixture until it forms a dough-like consistency.

Forming and Drying

  • Divide the mixture into small sections and roll each section into a ball shape.
  • Place the formed balls on a baking sheet or tray and allow them to dry for at least 24 hours.
  • Once dry, test their bounce and enjoy your colorful creations!

Notes

For unique designs, swirl different colors together instead of mixing. Add glitter or small beads for added texture. Store in a cool, dry place to keep bounciness.
