Toilet Paper Roll Butterflies
Transform empty toilet paper rolls into delightful butterflies with this fun and easy craft that's perfect for all ages!
Ingredients
Materials Needed
- 2 pieces Empty toilet paper rolls Cut in half to create butterfly bodies.
- 1 each Scissors For cutting materials.
- 1 set Paint or markers Used for decorating the butterfly body.
- optional Googly eyes For added character.
- 1 tube Glue To attach wings and details.
- 2 pieces Pipe cleaners For making antennae.
- optional Glitter For extra sparkle on the wings.
- 2 sheets Paper for wings Construction paper or colored paper can be used.
Instructions
Preparation
- Take an empty toilet paper roll and cut it in half. This will create two butterfly bodies.
Decoration
- Use paint or markers to cover the outside of the roll with bright colors. Allow it to dry completely.
Wings Creation
- Cut out two wing shapes from additional paper. They can be any size or shape you desire.
- Encourage kids to experiment with shapes to represent different butterfly species.
Assembly
- Use glue to attach the paper wings to the back of the painted roll. Press gently and wait for a few moments to ensure they stick well.
- Glue on googly eyes for added charm.
- Create antennae by folding a pipe cleaner in half and sticking it into the top of the roll.
Finishing Touches
- Optionally sprinkle some glitter on the wings or body for extra sparkle! Let everything dry before handling.
