Toilet Paper Roll Penguin
A fun and easy winter craft for kids that transforms ordinary toilet paper rolls into adorable penguins, encouraging creativity and fine motor skills.
Ingredients
Craft Materials
- 1 roll empty toilet paper roll Base of the penguin craft
- as needed black and white craft paint Can substitute with black and white construction paper
- 1 sheet orange felt or paper For making the beak and feet
- 2 googly eyes or black buttons For the penguin's eyes

Instructions
Preparation
- Start with a clean, empty toilet paper roll.
- If using paint, apply a coat of black craft paint around the roll and allow it to dry completely. Alternatively, wrap the roll in black construction paper for quick coverage.
Creating the Penguin's Belly
- Once the black paint is dry, cut a piece of white paper or paint the front of the roll with white paint to serve as the penguin's belly.
- Use a paintbrush or your fingers for a fun, tactile experience!
Attaching the Eyes
- Glue googly eyes or buttons to the top of the roll. For a charming look, you can also draw eyes.
Making the Beak and Feet
- Cut out a small triangle from the orange felt or paper for the beak.
- For the feet, cut out two small webbed shapes.
- Glue these pieces onto the bottom of the roll for the feet and the triangular piece at the front for the beak.
Finishing Touches
- OPTIONAL: Embellish your penguin with glitter, stickers, or any other decorations to make it unique.
- Let everything dry completely before displaying your penguin.
