  • 1 cup Light corn syrup Helps prevent crystal formation
  • 1 cup Water

Flavor & Color

  • 1 tablespoon Flavor extracts e.g., vanilla, raspberry, or lemon

Tools & Molds

  • 10 pieces Lollipop sticks Choose a size that suits your design
  • 1 unit Candy thermometer To ensure the right temperature
  • 1 unit Heatproof candy molds Flexible silicone works best
  • 1 spray Cooking spray or oil For greasing the molds

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine sugar, light corn syrup, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar fully dissolves.
  • Watch for the mixture to reach a gentle boil without stirring, keeping an eye on the candy thermometer until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  • Once the syrup reaches the desired temperature, remove it from heat carefully.
  • Divide the syrup into separate bowls, adding a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and swirling gently.
  • Stir in your chosen flavor extract into each bowl.

Molding

  • Layer the colored syrup into the prepared molds, alternating colors for a whimsical effect.
  • Insert the lollipop sticks into the molds while the syrup is still soft.

Cooling & Unmolding

  • Allow the candies to cool completely at room temperature, which might take an hour.
  • Once the candy has set, gently remove the wands from the molds.

Notes

Store candies in an airtight container at room temperature. Wrap in colorful cellophane for gifting. They can last for several weeks when stored properly.
