Ingredients
Slime Base
- 1 cup Clear or white school glue You can use either clear or white glue.
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda This helps the slime hold its shape.
- 1 tablespoon Saline solution Mix slowly until the slime begins to form.
- to taste Food coloring (blue, green, or any ocean color) Customize with your preferred ocean color.
- optional Glitter For extra sparkly slime!
Add-Ins
- as needed Ocean-themed add-ins (small plastic sea creatures, shells, etc.) Makes the slime more fun and visually appealing.
Tools
- 1 Mixing bowl For mixing all ingredients.
- 1 Spoon for stirring To mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Instructions
Preparation
- Ensure your area is clean and gather all materials. It helps to have a non-stick surface or tablecloth.
- Pour 1 cup of glue into your mixing bowl.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of baking soda until thoroughly mixed.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your desired ocean hue.
- Slowly mix in 1 tablespoon of saline solution. Stir until the mixture begins to come together.
- Once it’s formed, take the slime out and knead it with your hands until it feels stretchy and pliable.
- If desired, mix in glitter and ocean-themed add-ins for that extra touch.
Notes
Experiment with colors, add textures like foam beads or sand, and store your slime in an airtight container to keep it fresh. This activity is also a great way to learn about marine life.
