Valentine Glue Gem Hearts

Ingredients
Materials for Glue Gem Hearts
- 1 bottle Clear glue
- a few drops Food coloring (red, pink, purple)
- various Plastic gem shapes (hearts, circles, stars)
- 1 sheet Baking sheet
- 1 sheet Parchment paper
- 1 optional Paintbrush For spreading glue
- 1 pair Scissors To cut parchment paper, if needed
Instructions
Preparation
- Cover your table or desk with newspapers or a plastic cloth to protect it from glue spills.
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) if you want to set your hearts quickly.
Creating the Glue Mixture
- In a small bowl, mix clear glue with a few drops of food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
- Stir until well combined; the colors can mix to create new hues—experiment!
Shaping the Hearts
- Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- Using your painted brush or just your fingers, apply the colored glue onto the parchment paper in heart shapes.
- You can create various sizes.
Adding Gem Shapes
- While the glue is still wet, place plastic gem shapes on top of the heart glue formations.
- Press them gently into the glue.
Drying the Hearts
- Allow the hearts to dry completely, which may take several hours.
- For quicker results, place in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until set.
Peeling and Displaying
- Once dried, gently peel the hearts off the parchment paper.
- Decorate your space, use as gift tags, or give them as gifts!
