  • 1 bottle Clear school glue For outlining and filling heart shapes
  • 1 each Heart-shaped templates (cut out of cardboard or paper) Use as a guide for suncatchers
  • 1 sheet Wax paper or parchment paper To prevent sticking while drying
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting templates
  • 1 each Paintbrush or spatula For spreading glue
  • 3 drops Food coloring (red, pink, or other colors) Used to add color to the glue
  • optional Glitter, sequins, or small beads For extra decoration

Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface where you can work comfortably.
  • Gather all your materials to keep everything within reach.

Create Your Base

  • Place a piece of wax or parchment paper on your work surface to prevent glue from sticking.

Form the Hearts

  • Using your heart-shaped template, outline the shape with clear glue on the wax paper.
  • Fill in the heart with glue, ensuring it’s fairly thick.

Add Color

  • Drop food coloring directly onto the glue.
  • Use a paintbrush or spatula to swirl the colors together for a marbled effect.
  • Optional: Sprinkle glitter, sequins, or beads over the wet glue for extra sparkle.

Drying Time

  • Allow your suncatcher to dry completely for about 24 hours.
  • Gently peel off the suncatcher from the wax paper once dry.

Display

  • Use tape or suction cups to hang your suncatcher in a sunny window.

Notes

Experiment with different sizes and shapes using various templates. You can also use different types of transparent glue for varied effects.
