Instructions

Preparation

  • Draw a heart shape on a piece of black construction paper using your pencil or print one out.

Create the Heart

  • Cut a piece of transparent contact paper slightly larger than your heart template.
  • Peel the backing off the contact paper and place it sticky side up.
  • Arrange small pieces of red and pink tissue paper on the contact paper, overlapping them to create a vibrant mosaic.

Seal and Cut

  • Once you’re satisfied with your arrangement, add another piece of contact paper on top to seal the tissue papers.
  • Cut along the heart shape previously drawn on the black construction paper for a clean outline.

Finish

  • Use tape to adhere your suncatcher to a window or string to hang it. Enjoy the shadows and colors dancing in the sunlight!

Notes

Tips: Mix in other colors like purple or white for variety. Experiment with different shapes, like stars or circles. Consider adding multiple layers of tissue for depth. Write messages on the black paper for personalization.
