Valentine's Lanterns
Create charming and customizable lanterns for Valentine's Day using simple materials. Perfect for celebrating love and creativity.
Ingredients
Materials
- 1 set Empty glass jars or mason jars
- 1 pack Tissue paper (red, pink, white) Various colors for customization
- 1 bottle PVA glue or Mod Podge For adhering tissue paper
- 1 piece Paintbrush For applying glue
- 1 piece LED tealights For safety; avoid using real candles
- 1 pair Scissors For cutting tissue paper
- 1 optional Twine or ribbon Optional for decoration
Instructions
Preparation
- Clean and remove any labels from your glass jars.
- Make sure they are completely dry before starting.
Assembly
- Cut your tissue paper into various shapes—hearts, stars, or circles.
- Using a paintbrush, apply a thin layer of PVA glue or Mod Podge onto the jar.
- Carefully place the tissue paper shapes onto the jar, pressing gently to adhere.
- Add more glue on top of the tissue paper to seal it.
- Continue layering until you’ve covered the jar to your liking.
- Allow the jars to dry completely for at least an hour.
- Place an LED tealight inside the jar and turn it on to see your beautiful lantern glow.
Notes
Customize with glitter or stickers for added sparkle. Try using colored cellophane instead of tissue paper for a different look.
