Preparation Steps

  • Set up a work area by placing a tray or shallow dish to catch any overflow from the reaction.
  • Collect all the materials listed above to ensure you have everything ready.
  • In small cups, add 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda. This will be the base of your fizzy surprises.
  • Choose your food coloring and drop a few drops into each cup of baking soda. Mix gently with a spoon to distribute the color.
  • Using a spoon or dropper, carefully add vinegar to each cup. Watch as the color and fizz erupt into a delightful reaction!
  • Take a moment to enjoy the fizzy display! Note the colors mixing and the sounds of the volcano-like effect.
