Ingredients
  

Volcano Ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoons Baking soda Adjust based on eruption size preference.
  • 1 cup Vinegar Use white vinegar for best results.
  • Dish soap Optional, for extra foam.
  • Food coloring Optional, for visual effects.
  • A container or an empty plastic bottle This will form the structure of your volcano.
  • Tray or baking sheet To catch spills.
  • Small plastic figurines or toys Optional, for decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place your container or plastic bottle upside down on the tray.
  • Mold clay, playdough, or dirt around the container to create a volcano shape.

Eruption Preparation

  • Carefully spoon 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda inside the container at the top of your volcano.
  • If using dish soap for extra foam, add a squirt of it to the baking soda.
  • Pour in a few drops of food coloring to create a colorful eruption effect.

Start the Eruption

  • Slowly pour a cup of vinegar into the container and watch the eruption begin!
  • Observe the fizzing and bubbling reaction, resembling a volcanic eruption.

Cleanup

  • After the excitement, clean up the area. The ingredients are safe and easy to dispose of.

Notes

Customize your volcano shape and colors for added fun. Supervise children during the experiment to ensure safety.
