Preparation

  • Using a round cookie cutter or a sharp knife, cut out smaller circles from the watermelon slices to create the beach balls.

Decorating

  • Use mini chocolate chips or an edible marker to create the lines of the beach ball on one side.
  • If using fruit slices, attach them to the sides of the watermelon ball for added color and flavor.

Coating

  • Roll the watermelon bites in coconut flakes to give them a fluffy, beachy look.

Assembly

  • Secure each watermelon bite on a toothpick or skewer for easy handling and presentation.

Notes

For added sweetness, drizzle honey or a fruit syrup over the watermelon circles. You can also swap coconut for crushed nuts or seeds and layer different fruits in between slices for a rainbow effect.
