Instructions
Preparation
- Clear a flat surface and gather all materials.
- Lay down newspaper or an old cloth to protect surfaces from melted crayon wax.
Creating Crayon Shavings
- Use a pencil sharpener to create crayon shavings in various colors.
- Feel the smoothness of the crayons as you sharpen them, creating a pile of colorful bits.
Assembling the Sun Catcher
- Take a piece of wax paper and lay it flat.

Ironing the Wax Paper
