Ingredients
  

Craft Materials

  • 1 liter Empty plastic bottles Preferably 1-liter size
  • Craft paint or spray paint In bright colors
  • Paintbrushes or sponges For applying paint
  • 1 Scissors For cutting the bottles
  • 2 Pipe cleaners For antennae
  • 2 Googly eyes For adding character
  • 1 Glue Craft glue or hot glue gun
  • Optional: Glitter For added sparkle

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse and clean the plastic bottles thoroughly.
  • Remove any labels or sticky residue.

Cutting Wings

  • Using scissors, cut the bottle in half vertically.
  • From the top half, cut out two wing shapes. Feel free to experiment with sizes!

Painting

  • Use your craft paint or spray paint to color the wings and body of the dragonfly.
  • Apply multiple coats if needed, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next.

Attaching Wings

  • Once the paint has dried, use glue to attach the wings to the body of the dragonfly.
  • Position the wings at an angle for a whimsical look.

Adding Features

  • Glue on the googly eyes to provide character.
  • Twist pipe cleaners and shape them into antennae. Stick them into the top of the bottle.

Final Touches

  • Add glitter or other embellishments for added sparkle and personality.
  • Allow everything to dry completely before displaying your dragonfly.

Notes

Experiment with different color combinations for a rainbow effect. You can try using colorful paper or fabric instead of painting for varied textures. Supervision is recommended for younger children, especially during cutting or using hot glue.
