  • Clean the bottle to ensure it’s free from any labels or residue.
  • Gather all materials within reach for convenience.

Fill the Bottle

  • Insert a generous handful of faux leaves into the bottle.
  • If desired, toss in glitter or beads for sparkle and added visual interest.

Create the Liquid Base

  • Combine clear corn syrup or glycerin with water in a bowl to achieve a thicker consistency.
  • Using a funnel, carefully fill the bottle about three-quarters full with the mixture.

Seal the Bottle

  • Tightly screw on the bottle cap.
  • Use a hot glue gun to seal the cap, preventing spills.

Enjoy the Sensory Experience

  • Allow children to gently shake the bottle and watch as the leaves swirl and settle.
  • Ask questions about the colors and shapes, enhancing vocabulary and observation skills.

Notes

Customize colors by using leaves in different shades or swap materials for pressed and dried real leaves. Adding a drop of essential oil can introduce a lovely scent. Larger containers can also be used for bigger groups.
