This DIY pressed flower glass candle holder brings the delicate beauty of flowers together with the soft glow of candlelight, making it a charming addition to your home décor or a thoughtful gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 Glass jar: Clean with a smooth surface.
  • Pressed flowers: Dry, flat flowers and leaves.
  • Jute twine: Enough to wrap around the neck of the jar and tie a bow.
  • Adhesive, such as Mod Podge: Suitable for glass and follows application and drying directions on the label.
  • Scissors: For trimming the twine.

Instructions

  1. Clean the jar. Wash or wipe the glass thoroughly to remove dust, grease, and any leftover label residue. Let it dry completely before decorating.
  2. Plan your flower design. Arrange the pressed flowers on the jar before applying adhesive, trying different positions until satisfied.
  3. Attach the flowers. Use adhesive to secure the pressed flowers to the glass, applying as directed and handling delicate blooms gently.
  4. Let the adhesive dry. Keep the jar undisturbed while the adhesive dries, following the recommended drying time on the product instructions.
  5. Add the twine. Once dried, wrap jute twine around the neck of the jar, tie it into a bow, and trim the ends with scissors if needed.
  6. Add a candle if desired. You can place a candle inside the jar but be cautious as the decorations may be flammable.

Notes

For a safer display, it is recommended to use a battery-operated candle or keep any flame well away from the decorations. Handle the jar by its undecorated areas to prevent damage to the flowers.
