Instructions
Preparation
- Unwrap all the crayons and break them into small pieces (about 1-inch chunks).
- Sort the colored pieces by shade of blue for varied effects.
Setting Up Molds
- Line your baking dish or silicone mold with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Fill the mold with your broken crayon pieces, layering different shades for a gradient look.
Melting Process
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Place the baking dish on a baking sheet to catch any drips.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crayons are fully melted and smooth.
Cooling and Removing
- Turn off the oven and let the dish cool down gradually.
- Once cool, carefully remove the suncatcher from the mold.
Finishing Touches
- Cut any rough edges and make a hole at the top for hanging if desired.
- Adhere a suction cup or window hook so you can hang your new suncatcher.
