Materials

  • 1 box Blue crayons or melting crayons of your choice
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper or wax paper For lining the baking sheet
  • 1 piece Baking sheet
  • 1 Oven Set to 190°F (88°C)
  • optional Cookie cutters For shaping the suncatchers
  • 1 pair Scissors If using cookie cutters
  • 1 String or suction cups For hanging the suncatchers

Instructions
 

Preparing Your Workspace

  • Preheat the Oven to 190°F (88°C).
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper to avoid sticking.

Preparing the Crayons

  • Remove the paper wrappers from your blue crayons.
  • Break the crayons into small pieces (about 1 inch).

Melting the Crayons

  • Scatter the broken blue crayon pieces on the lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven for approximately 10-15 minutes until melted.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes until hardened.

Final Touches

  • Use cookie cutters or scissors to cut out desired shapes from the hardened crayon sheet.
  • Attach string or suction cups to hang your suncatchers.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and effects. Add glitter for sparkle.
