Instructions
Preparing Your Crayons
- Peel off the paper from your crayons.
- Break the crayons into small pieces, aiming for 1-inch chunks.
Setting Up the Wax Paper
- Cut two pieces of wax paper to your desired size.
Layering the Crayons
- Place one piece of wax paper on a flat surface.
- Arrange the crayon pieces in a colorful pattern on top of the wax paper.
Melting the Crayons
- Place the second piece of wax paper over the crayons.
- Cover with a piece of parchment paper to protect your iron.
- Set your iron to a low setting without steam.
- Gently press the iron on the parchment paper for a few seconds to melt the crayons.
- Move the iron in circles to evenly distribute the heat.
- After the crayons have melted, carefully peel away the parchment and wax paper.
Final Touches
- Allow the melted crayon creation to cool.
- Cut your sun catcher into fun shapes like hearts, stars, or circles.
- Optionally, use a hole punch to make a hole for hanging and attach ribbon or string.
